By the time you've completed this trail, you will have envisioned and begun to put into practice a strategic plan for managing the stress of change in your life.

Along the Trail of Discovery, you will also explore the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual impacts of stress. This trail is rife with challenges. You will discover within yourself the dynamics of a common dilemma many of us face - "teacher burnout," a virtual "Desert of Distress." More important, you will explore tools and strategies for preventing and recovering from burnout.

Part of your learning experience will a path which will help you understand the characteristics and qualities of resilient people. You will learn how resilience can become a tool to manage stress and change. You will also discover some practical steps you can utilize in building and strengthening your own personal resilience. In so doing, you will synthesize your stress management skills with the skills you have gained in managing time and setting limits, which will ultimately lead you to cool, calm waters of the River of Hope.

As in the previous two trails, you may now choose your own order for completing the nine paths which comprise the remainder of Trail 3. When you have completed the paths, you will be ready to continue your journey.
