The Journey to Self-Renewal is a voyage comprised of four connecting trails. Your path will begin when you cross the Bridge of Commitment, entering Trail One, the Trail of Awareness. As you progress beyond Knowledge Gap, you will be gaining awareness of how you think about and deal with the stressors or day-to-day life as an educator. Trail One concludes with the Point of Know Return.
Crossing the Point of Know return, you will enter Trail Two, the Trail of Insight. While you advance along the Trail of Insight, we will guide you through the Land That Time Management Forgot (with apologies to Steven Spielberg!). As you pass through this land, we will help you tame the two-headed dragon of Time and Commitment. Trail Two ends at the Drawbridge of Discovery.
When you pass through the Drawbridge of Discovery, you begin Trail Three, the Trail of Discovery. This may be the most difficult part of the journey, as you will need to travel through the Desert of Distress. It is a hot, arid trek, where you will experience how the mirage of your perceptions and beliefs define the stress levels with which you choose to live. Please, don't despair... by the time you reach this trail you will have gained the insight and knowledge of an experiences traveler and will have many companions to help you along. Passage through the Desert of Distress will lead to the richly deserved River of Hope.
As you traverse the River of Hope, you enter the final trail of the journey: The Trail of Application. Like the land of milk and honey, the Trail of Application is metaphorically replete with offerings of sustenance and rejuvenation. Before your journey is complete, you will encounter the Sharing Space. As you have learned the path to self-renewal and sustenance, so, too, shall you feel compelled to share with others. Peace be with you... always.
